How i connect my laptop with my TV?
I bought a Sony Vaio, they have built-in hdmi, and connect it with an 20bucks hdmi cable, direct.
And you know what? HDMI is HD Picture, Sound and Plug&Play in one cable.

wow thats a lot of steps. were some of those steps just options of the same step?
I mean are steps 1 – 4 all really one step (connect some type of video cable)
my understanding is step 5 is more like step two (connect some type of audio cable)
and step 6 i really more like an alternate all inclusive step 1

i just cant get the audio

My TV has a s-video but no VGA port, and the only ports my computer has are 3 USB and one VGA. How can I get the two hooked like this?
July 21st, 2010 at 10:08 am
@T3hTroll that would be (most likely) a VGA to Composite and there is not a cable for that. You will need a converter. I would recommend searching the internet for:
VideoSecu 1L7 PC Laptop Mac Computor to TV Presentation Converter VGA to Video VGA2TV
and that IS how it is spelled.

I have a laptop hp pavilion, I buy a cable VGA to RGB because my TV is analogical, it hasn’t VGA port. Then press fn + F4 but the image on the TV is bad. I need help…. thank…

The easiest way is to get a laptop with an HDMI socket. That way you can connect the laptop to the TV with a single cable that carries *both* high quality video and audio. You don’t need separate cables for audio. Search YoutTube for “How to Connect PC-to-TV (HDMI)” to see such a video.
