; i like to leave my pile of onions to panfry until near dessication. every time they reduce to less than even a quarter of the original mass, makes me a little regretful that i didn’t chop more onions in the beginning.

@sierrastoneshield just use grape juice. it tasted just fine for me. I bought the kind that looks like its in a wine bottle. I think it’s called sparkling grape juice or sth.

i did mine a while back with sparkling grape juice instead. with the alcohol boiled down, it’d be essentially the same thing.. 4x as cheap, and tasted pretty damn good.

when you cut onions try wearing sunglasses or standing with your face tilted back away from the cutting board this will help. as for my fav winter food it would have to be a japanese hotpot or nabe its great for eating and connect with friends and family you should try it <3

thank you so much for making this video!!! i didnt have any wine and i used sourdough bread and added potatoes to the onion mix and it came out WONDERFUL it is something i will be making more often its a great new thing i can make
