Buñuelos!
- typically consist of a simple, wheat-based yeast dough, often flavored with anise, that is thinly rolled, cut or shaped into individual pieces, then fried and finished off with a sweet topping. Buñuelos may be filled with a variety of things, ranging from cheese to yams. They can be round in ball shapes or disc shaped. (wiki)
My Grandma makes them Disk Shape, they are kind of like a Fried Flour Tortilla. Sprinkle sugar on it and hmm hmmmm!

is there any good /useable substitute for matzo meal?
July 5th, 2010 at 3:09 am
We used yukon gold potatoes and the latkes turned out great! We also added some cinnamon to the applesauce. A whole bag of potatoes only fed 5 people! If I did it again, I would use my electric skillet to fry lots of them at once because we were frying latkes for over an hour!
