Made this for the 1st time yesterday. It was very good but I will cut down the vinegar to 3/4 of a cup instead of a cup. I also put my jalepenos in a blender and liquified them. To tone down the vinegar I added some honey. I will definitly make this again but, with all bbq recipes, you have to make adjustments to satisfy YOUR taste buds.

This works well with Amber Pilsner or even iced beer n chilli powder for thickening too.

@BarbecueWeb yeah… but ketchup has got a lot of other salty crap in it that the sauce just don’t need. a bit of tomatoes, vinegar, and a tsp of worcestershire sauce should do the trick. one of them hand blenders to mash it up, and it takes just as long as it took to squeeze out that bottle of red dyed factory stuff.

I would use a tablespoon like the one in the video and just eyeball it like he does. He doesn’t fill them to the top. I don’t think it needs to be exact and then adjust it to your taste.

I do that dance every time I walk up to my grill.
